The second issue of the Bulletin of the SASA Institute of Ethnography for 2022 has been published. The topic of the current issue “Growing up from an Anthropological Perspective”, dedicated to Aleksandar Krel, PhD, is one of the results of the Age and Generations in Serbia and Bulgaria: Anthropological studies project, which was realized as part of inter-academic  cooperation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The associates of the SASA Institute of Ethnography and The Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Science covered a number of significant problems in the field of anthropology of childhood using different theoretical and methodological approaches in the six works published in this issue. The common denominator of all the works is that they are based on the empirical research of the specific case studies.

The editor of the issue is Jadranka Đorđevic Crnobrnja, PhD, a Senior Research Associate of the SASA Institute of Ethnography, and the issue is dedicated to our prematurely deceased colleague, Aleksandar Krel, PhD, who made a significant contribution to the Serbian ethnology and anthropology and the studies of social and cultural practices characteristic for the childhood period.
