Milan Tomasevic was born in 1983 in Zemun. He completed all levels of academic studies at the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade (BA 2010, MA 2012 and PhD in 2019). PhD thesis was Anthropological Perspective in Popular Cosmology.

Since 2013, she has been working at the Ethnographic Institute of SANU on the project Cultural Heritage and Identity. He is a member of the Ethnological and Anthropological Society of Serbia.

The main interests and topics of the research concern the anthropology of popular science, contemporary forms of religiosity and alternative religious systems, popular culture and mythology, culture of fear and political anthropology.
