A new monograph “Cosmology - Contextualization of Popular Cosmology” has been published by the SASA Institute of Ethnography. The book is dedicated to presenting the development of ideas about the origins and nature of the universe from the dawn of mankind to the most recent theoretical cosmological models. In this paper the dynamics of the dialogue between philosophy and religion, interpreted by the contemporary scientific cosmogony, that is, the Big Bang Theory, is clarified. The cultural importance for modern society of the scientific theories is presented. The author is Milan Tomasević, PhD, and a Research Associate at the SASA Institute of Ethnography.
