The Faculty of Philosophy in Niš hosted the 9th international scientific conference: “Material and Spiritual Culture of Serbs in Multi-ethnic Environments and/or Peripheral Areas” from October 20-21, 2023. The associates of the SASA Institute if Ethnography, Nina Aksić, PhD, and Bojana Bogdanović, PhD, were invited to participate in the conference organised by the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, West University of Timisoara, the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš and the Scientific Research and Culture Centre of Serbs in Romania within the Union of Serbs of Romania. Our associates presented the results of the field research of Christmas, Slava and wedding customs of Serbs in the Romanian part of Banat that were conducted as part of the project Research of Culture and History of Serbs in Romania, organised by the Scientific Research and Culture Centre of Serbs in Romania (Timisoara).

All the papers presented at the conference will be published in the following issue of the journal Ishodišta (No.10).
