Gordana Blagojević, PhD, principal research fellow at the SASA Institute of Ethnography, participated in the international scientific conference on refugee memories and identity:    “Asia Minor`s Refugee Memories and Identity One Century Later: Pontus, Cappadocia, Ionia, Eastern Thrace, Constantinople” in Athens. She presented her lecture “Sofia Fouli Karagavrilidou, from Personal to Collective Memory, from Kütahya to Thessaloniki” in Greek. This is a study on the role of the individual and personality in the process of cultural transmission. The conference, organized by the School of Classics and Humanities of the Democritus University of Thrace, Metropolis of Peristeri, and the Laboratory of Folklore and Social Anthropology of the Democritus University of Thrace, was held from February 14 to 16. The conference took place in a hybrid format, mostly in person in the Amphitheatre of the Metropolis of Peristeri, located in the Athens district of Peristeri.
