The team of the "Heroine" project is pleased to announce the publication of the Manual for Mapping Women's Emancipation. This is one of the results of the project Heritage of Emancipation: Empowering Roma Women through Building Networks of Solidarity (HEROINE), implemented by the Institute of Ethnography of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), the Roma Women's Center "Bibija", and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade, under the auspices of the Center for the Promotion of Science as part of the 2024–2025 Citizen Science Research Support Program. The manual was created by a team of researchers and local partners who were directly involved in every stage of developing a participatory methodology for collecting data on the history, practices, and realities of women's empowerment within the Roma community.
This manual is completely free and available for use by all interested individuals and organizations. The electronic version of the manual can be downloaded at this link.
