The Edited Volume “Gender, Knowledge and Power: History, Heritage and Significance of Women Scholars and Scientists in Serbia” is one of the results of the project Heritage and Significance of Women Scientists in Serbia: Research of the Past as Investment for the Future of the SASA Institute of Ethnography organised within the UNESCO Participation Programme 2020/2021. The Edited Volume has nine original scientific works, as well as the webinar presentation “Research of History and Contribution of Women Scientists in Serbia: Methods and Approaches” realised within the project Heritage and Significance of the Women Scientists in Serbia: Research of the Past as Investment for the Future. In addition, the Volume also published an In Memoriam to our dear colleague, professor, friend and participant of this project, historian Ljubinka Trgovčević. Even though the Volume is dominated by works that deal with women scientists in the past, as well as their work, discoveries, the insufficient affirmation of their work, and the difficulties they faced, it is rounded off with works that deal with the contemporary situation, i.e. the position of women in the academic community today and all the difficulties that they themselves sometimes find difficult to detect and recognise.

The Edited Volume, edited by Mladena Prelić, PhD, Lada Stevanović, PhD, and Miroslava Lukić Krstanović, PhD, can be viewed at the following link: https://etno-institut.co.rs/storage/710/63abe78a83ade_Etnografski-zbornik-2022-PRINT2.pdf
