Mikonja Knežević, PhD, senior research associate of the SASA Institute of Ethnography participated in the round table “Research of Serbian Philosophy in History and Contemporaneity” that was organized by Matica Srpska in Novi Sad, on December 15, 2023.

In his presentation, Knežević, PhD, highlighted the importance of medieval Serbian heritage for the reception of ancient philosophical ideas behind the formation of Serbian philosophical terminology. He particularly emphasized the significance of translated literature, within which ideas and concepts of philosophical content were indirectly transferred through patristic texts.

Professor Slobodan Antonić, PhD, professor Irina Deretić, PhD, Miša Đurković, PhD, principal research fellow, professor Časlav Koprivica, PhD, and professor Bogoljub Šijaković, PhD, also spoke at the round table.
