It is with pleasure that we announce that the monograph ‘‘Light and shadows in Byzantine music. A brief introduction to the world of chanting.’’ written by Principal Research Fellow of the SASA Institute of Ethnography Gordana Blagojević, PhD, has been published in Greek by the Ecclesiastical Foundation for Byzantine and Traditional Music of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens The book contains a preface written by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, and a preface by Archimandrite Irinej Nakos, the director of the foundation. A special innovation in this monograph is the use of QR codes to display examples of music. In addition, Gordana Blagojević, PhD, designed and illustrated the covers and a number of the images in the book.
Congratulations to our colleague Gordana on the successful completion of this monograph!
