Nina Aksić, PhS, Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Ethnography SASA, participated in the 12th International Scientific Conference The Material and Spiritual Culture of Serbs in Multiethnic Environments and/or Peripheral Areas, held in Timișoara from 16 to 18 October 2026. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Letters, History, Philosophy and Theology of the West University of Timișoara, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Niš, and the Centre for Scientific Research and Culture of Serbs in Romania, affiliated with the Union of Serbs in Romania, Timișoara.
Dr Aksić presented her research entitled “Orthodox Ecclesiastical Elements in the Rituals and Beliefs of Folk Tradition: Examples from the Rural Traditions of Serbs in Romania.”
