The second mega-conference, in the organization of the International Orthodox Theological Association – IOTA, was held in Volos (Republic of Greece) from January 10 to January 15, 2023. More than 400 academics and scientists from all over the world took part in the conference. Within 96 sections, eminent philosophers, theologians, linguists, cultural theorists, anthropologists, art historian and others gave presentations.
The senior research associate of the SASA Institute of Ethnography, Professor Mikonja Knežević, PhD, participated in this conference. He gave a presentation on the topic: “The Concept of Consubstantiality in the Polemics of Gregory Palamas with John Bekkos” at a well-attended session. Professor Knežević also spoke at the promotion of the book Analogical Identities: The Creation of the Christian Self. Beyond Spirituality and Mysticism in the Patristic Era by Nikolaos Loudovikos, which was recently translated into Serbian by our colleague.
