The SASA Institute of Ethnography organised research practice called “In Search of Research Topics: Research of the Cultural and Disciplinary Heritage in the Archives of the SASA Institute of Ethnography” , for male and female students of the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, from July 3rd to 7th.

The aim of the practice was to train male and female students for basic anthropological research and work with archival material, to introduce the processes of arranging, archiving and digitalizing the material. Through practical work with the documentation of the SASA IE students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the available funds, collections and various data stored there, as well as to acquire basic knowledge in the field of digitalization.

A visit to the Ethnographic Collection of the Archives of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts was also organised. Practice mentors were Bojana Vuković and Milos Rašić, PhD (SASA IE) and Ana Dajić (Faculty of Philosophy, UB). Research practice is the first activity realised within the signed cooperation agreement between the SASA IE and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
