You are invited to attend the lecture "Gift-Reciprocity: Welcome Favor for Welcome Favor or Unwelcome Rivalry?" on Wednesday, 8th December 2021 at 11:00. This lecture will explore the ancient Greek concept of reciprocal favor χάρις within the context of the unwritten social-moral code of ancient Hellenes, illustrated by chosen excerpts of text (of Euripides and Homer).
Lecturer: Victor Castellani, PhD, professor of Classics/Humanities at University of Denver (Colorado, USA).
Moderator: Đurđina Šijaković Maidanik, PhD, Research Associate, the Institute of Ethnography SASA.
