Gordana Blagojević, PhD, principal research fellow at the SASA Institute of Ethnography, took part in a prestigious international conference “Anthropologists and New Audiences: Pathways to Teaching and Learning”, which was held from October 16-18, at the University of the Aegean, Mytilene, Lesvos.

On that occasion she presented her paper, “Chanting across Disciplines: An Anthropological Engagement with Byzantine Church Music”, as part of the sessions dedicated to innovative approaches to teaching and to engaging wider audiences in the field of anthropology.

The conference was organized by Teaching Anthropology Network (TAN), European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA), Association of Social Anthropologists of Greece and the Department of Social Anthropology and History, University of the Aegean.

We congratulate our colleague whose work transcends disciplinary boundaries and creatively connects anthropology with musicology and religious studies!
