We are pleased to inform you that this year`s laureate of the “Borivoje Drobnjakovic” award for the best final thesis in the field of ethnology and anthropology is Lazar Barać, a research-intern at the SASA Institute of Ethnography. In his master`s thesis “Trap, God, Trap, Folk: the Reception of the Balkan Trap among the Second Generation of Serbian Extra-Community in Vicenza”. The author treats the current Balkan trap as a musical and identity phenomenon in migratory framework of the Serbian diasporic community in Vicenza (Italy). This paper received “Dušan Bandić” award, presented by the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. The mentorship is signed by Professor Dragana Antonijević, PhD. 

The award was presented on September 20, 2024, at the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade.
