The 6th International Colloquium on St. Maximus the Confessor, “Maximus the Confessor and the Mystery of Divine Revelation” was held in Belgrade from April 27-30, 2025. The conference was organized by the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade, in collaboration with the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary (Budapest) and the International Centre for Orthodox Studies (Niš).

The conference was attended by 35 presenters from 14 countries, including some of the world’s leading authorities in the field.  Researchers of the SASA Institute of Ethnography also submitted their papers: Milesa Stefanović-Banović, PhD,  participated with her paper, “Pseudo-Maximus the Confessor’s Orations on the Feast of the Annunciation, as Translated and Adapted by Gavril Stefanović Venclović”, while  Mikonja Knežević, PhD, presented his paper, “The Usage of Maximus the Confessor in the Filoque Controversy of the 14th Century”.

The conference papers will be published in the Subsidia Maximiana series, issued by the prestigious publishing house Brepols.
