At the Faculty of Arts of the University of Priština, the 4th International Scientific Conference Traditional and Contemporary in Arts and Education was held from May 15 to 17, bringing together researchers from various fields of arts, culture, and education.
Miloš Rašić and Lazar Barać participated in the conference with the paper titled “The Folklore Body as Disciplined and Affective: Pedagogical Practices in the Transnational Framework of Serbian Traditional Dance.”
The paper examines pedagogical practices within folklore ensembles of the Serbian diaspora, with a particular focus on the relationship between discipline, normative models, and affective dimensions in shaping the folklore body in a transnational context. Through an anthropological approach, the authors analyze the ways in which traditional dance is transmitted, adopted, and reinterpreted across different social and cultural settings.
